Loreto Sunday Farmers’ Market
We try to go to the farmers’ market, which is each Sunday from early morning until mid afternoon. They set it up every week at the edge of the big arroyo that forms the southern edge of the downtown and divides it from the Zaragoza neighborhood. We buy a week’s groceries: fruits and veggies, most of them local and many of them organic, sometimes fish or shrimp, and if we wanted to we could buy a goat, whole or part. So far we’ve resisted that one. They have all sorts of other stuff on display too, and this week I scored some shorts — for $8 US. The image is from one of the stalls, last Sunday. This is a small community, so we also often run into people we know there.
