Weather in Loreto BCS:   The coolest months, with highs averaging in the high 70’s with lows in the low 50’s, are December through March. Day and night temperatures rise and get to the 90’s daytimes, 20 degrees cooler at night, from June through October, then begin cooling again. Snow and ice are . . . . a figment of the imagination. Sea temperatures swing through a wide arc, lagging the air temperature cycle. Coolest water temperatures are in January, a bit over 60, but rise into the high 80’s in June, July, August and September.  It never gets as cold as it does up north, but it does get hot and humid in August and September.  Some wind in the winter is typical, and contributes to the low air temperatures.

“In Loreto, the summers are long, hot, and muggy; the winters are comfortable; and it is dry and partly cloudy year round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 59°F to 96°F and is rarely below 55°F or above 99°F.

The hot season lasts for 4.4 months, from May 26 to October 8, with an average daily high temperature above 91°F. The hottest day of the year is July 1, with an average high of 96°F and low of 78°F.

The cool season lasts for 3.1 months, from November 30 to March 3, with an average daily high temperature below 78°F. The coldest day of the year is January 23, with an average low of 59°F and high of 74°F.”
